Buy In Brick Property Tax Rebate/Rewards Cards Arriving 'Any Day Now,' Mayor Says

Residents clamoring for the “Buy In Brick” rewards cards should expect to see them ”any day now,” Mayor John Ducey said Tuesday night at the Brick Township Council meeting.

The cards are the lone missing element of the program, which offers property tax rebates for spending money at participating businesses in the town.

On Wednesday, the township released the first list of businesses participating in the program, which works similarly to other rewards cards in that it records what you spend at certain places. However, instead of gift certificates or coupons, the reward will be a reduction in property taxes.

River Rock Marina and Restaurant is sponsoring the cards in addiont to being one of the participating businesses. Also participating are the following:

• Black Sheep Thrift Shop
• The UPS Store
• Dr. Kenneth F. Diana DDS

• Future Dry Cleaners
• Soccer Post
• Salon Milan
• Off the Wall – picture framing and art gallery
• Jersey Shore Marina
• Barlo and Associates
• Décor to Score
• Joe’s Service Center and Towing

More businesses are welcome to join the program, Ducey said. Residents can find updates on the program, including the list of participating businesses, on the Buy in Brick Facebook page.
