Car Hits Utility Pole, Closes Traffic On Brick Boulevard

Brick Township motorists were forced to detour around the eastern side of Brick Plaza on Saturday morning after a car struck a utility pole and caused the pole to fall across both the north and southbound lanes, police said.

Full details on the accident were not immediately available, police said.

The downed utility pole forced police to close Brick Boulevard between Chambersbridge Road and Cedar Bridge Road for a few hours, but by 10 a.m. witnesses reported that the road had been reopened.
