Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey’s Stars Dance All Night

Dancing with Their Stars Competition names champion at event on April 19, 2018

Toms River, NJ (April 20, 2018) Couples who love to dance kicked up their heels in support of Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey’s fourth annual Dancing with Their Stars competition.

Five couples competed for CVCJ’s mirror ball trophy on April 19, 2018, which took place at Eagle Oaks Golf Club, 20 Shore Oaks Drive, Farmingdale, NJ 07747.

This year’s competing couples were:

Kathy Kimm of Willow Springs Rehabilitation and Glenn Steinhandler of NetApp;

Sue and Lance Nemiroff, chiropractors at Jersey Shore Wellness Center;

Anne Pagnoni of Imperial Health Care and Bernie Branz of Right at Home;

Jacqui and Stephen Reid, Public Affairs Consultant; and

Annemarie Schreiber, Esq. of CLDDS and Bob Scott of Home Care Assistance.

Ferlie Almonte gave Tom Bergeron a run for his money as emcee. The judges for this year’s event were last year’s winning couple, Tracey and Roland Rodriguez, and the 2018 CVCJ Champion, Mark Kotzas of Crossroads Realty. The final judge was Barbara Hartl-Renna. Barbara is the caregiver for her husband John and they receive visits from our certified pet therapy program, Caregiver Canines®.

Barbara is a former Radio City Rockette, and currently dances with Calendar Girls of Ocean County.

In addition to the official team judging the night of the event, followers of CVCJ’s event were able to vote for their favorite couple online in the “People’s Choice” category.

This year, the Mirror Ball Trophy was won by the team of Annemarie Schreiber, Esq. and Bob Scott. The People’s Choice Award went to Kathy Kimm and Glenn Steinhandler. The competition can be viewed online on CVCJ’s Facebook page, @caregivervolunteers.

When the competition ended, the more than 200 attendees danced the night away to DJ John from Gem Sounds. The event raised approximately $40,000 to support CVCJ’s efforts on behalf of homebound seniors in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
