N.J. Lottery officials say neither of the tickets were turned in, one of which was sold at a 7-Eleven in Jamesburg. A $2 million ticket holder who spent $1 more to exercise the Powerplay option at Wawa in Westampton also has not claimed his/her winnings.

Two of the jackpot winners from around the country are also dragging their feet, lottery officials said. Two of the three winning tickets in last month’s record Powerball jackpot have yet to be brought to lottery officials in their respective states to be validated.

The winnings must claimed within 180 days or it is forfeited.
Meanwhile, the Powerball numbers have been climbing upward again.
While there were no New Jersey winners of the Powerball jackpot or second or third prizes for the Saturday drawing, 30,646 New Jersey players took home an estimated $169,551 in prizes ranging from $4 to $300, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.
“Congratulations to these fortunate lottery players who purchased the winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “These lucky players now join the growing ranks of New Jersey Powerball winners.”
The winning numbers for the Saturday drawing were: 04, 13, 31, 36 and 52. The Red Power Ball number was 08. The Multiplier number was 03.
The Powerball jackpot rolls to $157,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Wednesday at 10:59 pm.
