This is the second time the Coffee with a Cop program is being held. The first, in October 2016, was warmly received and well attended.

Coffee with a Cop is part of ongoing efforts to build positive connections between the community and the police department in an effort to combat crime, Police Chief James Riccio has said.

Those efforts also include the resumption last year of bicycle patrols, which focused on the Herbertsville area of town, and the Neighborhood Watch program, which is growing as well.

The coffee is complimentary at the Coffee with a Cop event.
