Community Groups Get Aid To Continue Good Works In Brick
The township's presentation of Community Block Development Grants highlights a variety of volunteer organizations.

BRICK, NJ -- They help at-risk teenagers and seniors who are homebound. They help mentor children who need adult role models and adults with special needs have fulfilling lives.
Nonprofit organizations fill in the gaps that government organizations often cannot, and Tuesday night a dozen organizations had the opportunity to share a little about their missions as they received Community Block Development Grants, awarded by Brick Township.
The recipients and the amounts they received:
- The ARC, Ocean County Chapter, Inc. $1,500
- Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey $1,500
- Ocean’s Harbor House $1,500
- Community Services, Inc. Meals on Wheels of Ocean County $10,000
- Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity $9,250
- Church of the Visitation $1,250
- Ocean County Hunger Relief $4,000
- Providence House Domestic Violence Services $3,500
- Interfaith Hospitality Network of Ocean County $3,000
- Jersey Shore Council, BSA, Inc. $2,000
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ocean County, Inc. $1,000
- STEPS $1,000
- Dotties House $3,500
