The Community YMCA Invites Families to YMCA's Healthy Kids Day(R), April 30

Free Event Encourages Health and Well-Being for Families

WALL, NJ (March 24, 2016) - On Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., The Community YMCA’s Camp Zehnder is hosting Healthy Kids Day, a free community event to inspire more kids to keep their minds and bodies active all summer long.

Healthy Kids Day is the Y’s national initiative to improve health and well-being for kids and families. Featured activities include camp tours, gardening, and nutritional displays to motivate and teach families how to develop healthy food choices and routines at home. Families will have the opportunity to help prepare camp gardens and plant their own vegetables and herbs to take home.

Teens interested in summer employment are also invited to attend.

YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day takes place at Camp Zehnder, 3911 Herbertsville Road, Wall, 08724. The event will also be held at the Y’s Family Health & Wellness Center in Red Bank from 1 – 3 p.m. For more information, call 732.836.9177 or visit www.TheCommunityYMCA.org.
