Coronavirus: Brick Postpones Senior Center's St. Paddy's Party
The event has been postponed out of an abundance of caution over concerns about the spread of the coronavirus, Mayor John Ducey said.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township senior citizens who were looking forward to kicking up their heels at the township's St. Patrick's Day party will have to wait, after the township postponed the event amid concerns over the spread of the new coronavirus.
The Brick Senior Outreach Services Annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration was scheduled for Tuesday. A new date has not been announced but the event will be rescheduled, Mayor John G. Ducey said.
"As older Americans are among the most at-risk during the current coronavirus outbreak, we have decided the best course of action would be to postpone the annual St. Patrick’s Celebration until the risk has passed," Ducey said.

The new date and time will be announced in the future and residents who registered for the event will be notified of the cancellation and the new date when it is established, he said.
"The safety of the public is our No. 1 priority and we appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation during this time," Ducey said. "We urge everyone to continue to take the necessary measures to protect themselves and the public."
