Craft Fair Postponed In Brick Ahead Of Tropical Storm Ian

A forecast of heavy rain through the weekend has prompted Brick officials to postpone the Craft and Vendor Fair.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township officials have postponed the Craft and Vendor Fair that was scheduled for Saturday due to the expected effects of Tropical Storm Ian.

The craft fair now is scheduled for Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Windward Beach Park, officials said.

Forecasters are estimating that Tropical Storm Ian could start bringing rain to New Jersey as soon as Friday, with Saturday expected to be rainy all day. The heaviest rainfall is anticipated south and east of the Interstate 95 corridor, according to the National Weather Service.

Coastal flooding also is likely because of strong east winds from the tropical storm.

The Town-Wide Yard Sale remains scheduled for Oct. 8 and the township is updating the map of participating homes.
