BRICK, NJ — A pickup truck hit a utility pole on Route 88 near the entrance to Walmart on Monday, bringing down wires onto the road.

Brick Township police closed the road to traffic from Jack Martin Boulevard to Post Road for several hours because of the downed wires.

Information on injuries was not available Monday afternoon.
