Beaverson Boulevard Reopens After Crash Brings Down Pole In Brick
Work to replace the utility pole kept Beaverson Boulevard closed until late Friday evening.

BRICK, NJ — Beaverson Boulevard reopened late Friday night, hours after a crash that brought down a utility pole, blocking the road.
Brick police said the road reopened about 10 p.m., more than nine hours after the crash.
The crash happened at the bend of Beaverson Boulevard, where it becomes Shorrock Street in Lakewood. Arizona Drive/Old Toms River Road is affected as well.

Police said a vehicle hit a utility pole, bringing down the pole and live wires were across the road.
Brick police urged motorists to avoid the area, and repeated that request about 7 p.m., before the road was finally reopened.
