Crash, Downed Power Lines Close Maple Avenue In Brick

BRICK, NJ — Maple Avenue is closed in Brick on Monday afternoon due to a crash, Brick Township police said.

An alert from Brick police said the closure is at 4th Avenue, and the crash brought down powerlines. About 30 homes in the immediate area are without power, with restoration estimated by 3:30 p.m., according to Jersey Central Power & Light.

"Avoid the area and find alternate routes," police said, adding the road is expected to be closed for the next several hours.
