Crash Partially Closes Route 70 In Brick: Police

BRICK, NJ — One lane of Route 70 westbound is closed Tuesday near the area of the intersection with Brick Boulevard due to a motor vehicle crash, authorities said.

Brick Township police issued an alert saying the highway is reduced to one lane because of the crash, which happened before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

"Avoid the area due to heavy traffic at this time," police said.

The state Department of Transportation website 511nj.org was showing heavy traffic on Route 70 from the Laurelton interchange to Cedar Bridge Road.

There was no information immediately available from police on the crash itself.
