Creepy Car Fire Photo Wows Viewers In Brick

Susan Fimiani was planning to take photos of the marching band. She caught something else instead.

BRICK, NJ — Susan Fimiani was on her way to Brick Township High School this week to take some photos of the marching band.

On the way there, however, she happened upon a car fire, and like so many people these days, snapped photos of the event to share with news outlets.

"We watched it go from just smoking to fully engulfed," she said in a post on Facebook where she tagged a few media outlets, including the Patch. The fire was in the parking lot at the municipal building, she said.

After sharing a photo of the fire, she reviewed her images and found the creepy one above.

"Another pic with the evil spirit being expelled from the car!" she wrote in posting the photo.

Fimiani, who's a local realtor and photographer (you can see her work at beachwritingsnj.com) said she doesn't always have her real camera with her but happened to have it in the car when she saw the fire.

"Glad I had my zoom lens so I could stay across the street," she said, praising the response of the firefighters from Brick.

You never know what a camera might capture.
