UPDATE: Brick Husky Reunited With Owners

BRICK, NJ — UPDATE, 9:30 a.m.: The woman who found the female husky on Tuesday evening said the dog's owners have been found.

"REUNITED WITH OWNER!" she said in a message to the Patch.

The husky, who is wearing a prong collar, was found in the area of Doe Court and Old Hooper Avenue, near the Stop & Shop and AC Moore area.

She was kept overnight by the residents who found her, but they told the Patch Wednesday morning that she has now been taken to the Ocean County Animal Shelter in Jackson by Brick's animal control officer. She had not yet been scanned for a microchip at that point, the woman said.

Thank you to everyone who shared the message and helped get her back to her family.
