BRICK, NJ — A drill testing emergency responses at Ocean Medical Center in Brick Township on Thursday sparked rumors that prompted Brick Township police to issue a statement to dispel misinformation.

"This is a drill," Brick police said in a statement. "There were no babies kidnapped from Ocean Medical Center and the hospital is not on lockdown. It is a drill."

It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the rumors.
