Driver Hits 2 Houses, Pool, Car, Fence In Brick, Charged With DUI
The driver, a Brooklyn resident, was "acting erratically" after the crash, police said. They seized ketamine from the vehicle.

BRICK, NJ — A New York resident was charged with driving under the influence after hitting two houses, a fence, a car and a swimming pool during a crash, Brick Township police said.
Zhen Wang, 29, of Brooklyn, was arrested following the crash that happened about 1:20 a.m. Dec. 7 near the area of Beacon and Round avenues, Brick Patrol Officer Victoria Finelli said.
Wang "appeared to be delirious and acting erratically," when Patrolman Scott Mesmer arrived at the scene of the crash, and was believed to be under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.

The vehicle had left the road and hit a fence, then a house, an above-ground swimming pool and a parked car before hitting the second house, Finelli said.
Both houses sustained structural damage and were inspected for safety by the Brick Township Building Department and Bureau of Fire Safety.

Patrolman Scott Smith and his K-9 Echo were brought in and Echo indicated on the vehicle; Smith found a bag with about 4 ounces of ketamine along with drug paraphernalia, Finelli said.
Wang was charged with possession of CDS, use or possession with the intent to use CDS, and manufacturing, distributing or dispensing CDS, and received motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, uninsured motorist, reckless driving, driving under the influence of liquor or drugs, failure to possess registration and operation of a motor vehicle while in possession of a narcotic, Finelli said.
Wang was taken to the Ocean County Jail but has since been released to await further court action.
