Drug Distribution, Theft, Fraud Charges For 5 In Brick
The Brick Township Police Department's Street Crimes Unit charged one man with contempt of court after finding a vial with urine in it.

BRICK, NJ — Five people were arrested recently on charges including drug possession and theft by the Brick Township Police Department's Street Crimes Unit as part of ongoing investigations to address quality-of-life issues.
Brick Police Sgt. Jim Kelly provided the following information:
On Aug. 26, Jason Feliciano, 34, of Brick, was pulled over about 8 p.m. after detectives recognized him and knew he was driving with a suspended driver’s license. After pulling him over, their investigation revealed Feliciano had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, Kelly said. Police also found he had a prescription bottle filled with urine, suspected to be used for urine tests to determine drug use.

While the officers were investigating Feliciano, Clifton Tancemore, 38, of Brick, approached the officers, who knew him. Tancemore also had outstanding warrants for his arrest but when the Officers tried to arrest him, he resisted their efforts.
Feliciano was charged with contempt of court, possession of a device used to defraud administration of a drug test, and driving while suspended and taken to the Ocean County Jail. Tancemore was charged with contempt of court and resisting arrest, and released on a summons.

On Sept. 7, police pulled over a vehicle about 2:30 a.m. after they saw it driving in the wrong direction for the lane of travel it was in. Coffii Assogbahou, 42, of Hamilton, was charged with driving while impaired and other motor vehicle offenses, Kelly said.
On Sept. 8, detectives witnessed a hand-to-hand transaction in the parking lot of Walmart on Route 88 about 6 p.m. Another detective in the area pulled the suspect’s vehicle over, Kelly said, but as before the vehicle stopped, the passenger threw a small black bag and a glass pipe out of the window, Kelly said. The bag was recovered and was found to contain an undisclosed quantity of cocaine and heroin packaged for resale.
A large amount of groceries were in the vehicle as well, and detectives found an EBT card that they learned belonged to a dead person from Wall Township. Detectives learn the two men used it to purchase the groceries.
The driver, Michael Havekost, 51, of Wall, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) with intent to distribute, four counts of possession of a CDS, possession of paraphernalia, and fraudulent use of a credit card, and he was taken to the Ocean County Jail.
The passenger, Nelson Rodriguez, 45, from Toms River, was found to have a knife, Kelly said. He was charged with possession of a CDS with intent to distribute, four counts of possession of a CDS, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and fraudulent use of a credit card. He was taken to the Ocean County Jail.
