1 Killed, 1 Injured As Dump Truck, SUV Crash In Jackson

JACKSON, NJ — One person was killed and another injured in a crash involving a commercial dump truck and an SUV on Wednesday, Jackson Township police said.

The victims were in the SUV, Jackson Police Chief Matthew Kunz said. The driver, a male, died at the scene while the passenger, a female, was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment, Kunz said.

He did not provide any additional information on the victims.

The crash was reported at 12:05 p.m. and happened at the intersection of Cassville Road and Reed Road, he said.

The crash remains under investigation.
