Matthew Nugent created a monarch stopover at Brick Beach 3 along with planting dune grass for his Eagle Scout project.

BRICK, NJ — The next time you go to Brick Beach 3, keep an eye out for butterflies. If you see them, you can thank Matthew Nugent.
Nugent was honored Tuesday night by Brick Township officials for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor for Boy Scouts.
Nugent said his Eagle Scout project was to create a monarch butterfly way station, "so that when they migrate they could get nutrients on their journey," he said.
