Election 2015: Two Brick School Board Candidates Drop Out

The sample ballots have been finalized. Here are the candidates for the Township Council and the school board.

Brick Township voters have 11 seats to decide when they go to the polls two weeks from Tuesday.

Here’s an updated list of candidates for each race.

For the Brick Township Board of Education, voters will choose three from the 10 candidates running for the three-year terms. They will replace current board members Frank Pannucci Jr., Michael Conti and Susan Suter, all of whom are stepping down from the council.

Alana Pagano withdrew her candidacy in August, and Martin Ebert withdrew his candidacy when he was selected to run for the Township Council after Dan Toth withdrew from that race.

For the one-year unexpired term of John Talty, the candidates are Talty and George W. White. Michael A. Thulen Sr. withdrew his candidacy in August.

There are four, four-year terms up for grabs on the Township Council.

The Republican candidates are Frank Pannucci Jr., Martin Ebert, Michael Conti and Charles Bacon.

The Democratic candidates are Andrea Zapcic, Lisa Crate, James T. Fozman and Arthur Halloran.

Current councilman Bob Moore, whose term is up, is running as an independent.

Councilwoman Susan Lydecker, whose term is up, withdrew her candidacy in August.

Brick voters also have two, three-year terms on the Ocean County Board of Freeholders and a five-year term for Ocean County Clerk to decide.

Running for freeholder are incumbents John C. Bartlett Jr. and Gerry P. Little. They are being challenged by Democrats Jimmy Esposito and Christopher Leitner.

Incumbent County Clerk Scott A. Colabella is being challenged by Kieran Pillion Jr.
