Emma Havens Young PTA Hosting Color Run

BRICK, NJ -- The Emma Havens Young Elementary School PTA is hosting a 1-mile Color Run as a fundraiser for the fifth grade class.

The race will be held Thursday, May 26, at the school, 43 Drum Point Road, Brick. Sign-in is at 4:30 p.m. and the race will begin at 5:30 p.m.

The race will travel around the Drum Point Sports Complex and will be held rain or shine. Only thunderstorms will result in a postponement.

B98.5 will be on hand to provide entertainment and prizes, and there will be cash prizes, donated by TD Bank, for the top three Emma Havens Young boys and girls finishers, the top three non-Emma Havens Young boys and girls finishers, and for the best dressed racer.

The coloring material used is cornstarch blended with coloring agents that are FDA approved and made in the United States. No lead-based colorants are used, the race organizers.

"Easy clean-up -- cornstarch will not stain skin, hair, clothing," but organizers urge race participants to bring a towel to sit on or clean off with before their ride home. Participants also are urged to take precautions to protect their electronics during the race.

To enter, fill out the entry form (posted as a photo with this article) and mail it to the school, 43 Drum Point Road, in care of the PTA. Entry fee is $15 per person, cash or check made payable to “EHY PTA”.
