Marie Curtis knows the ins and outs of how politics works in New Jersey and will discuss what it takes to get a bill or a policy adopted. For over twenty years Marie worked as a Legislative Representative (translation: lobbyist) for the League of Women Voters of New Jersey on environment, government, and housing issues. In 1989 Marie moved to the New Jersey Environmental Lobby, as its Executive Director. Later, Marie founded a group called Earth Share, which enables people to donate to environmental organizations from their workplace. A resident of Monmouth County, Marie hosted her own TV interview show. The meeting, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 10:30 a.m., in the Berkeley Branch of the Ocean County Library on Station Road.
