Public Speaking Skills Workshop

Good communication skills are the key to success, both in your job and your day to day social life. Feeling a little apprehensive before a speech is natural and can even be beneficial, but too many “butterflies” and too much apprehension can be detrimental. To advance in your career, you need to be a better communicator and learn how to lead with confidence. Few individuals truly love public speaking. So when you have to give that big presentation to your boss and a room full of your peers or a potential customer, it’s normal to feel nervous, get a little sweaty, have “butterflies” and, rejoice once the presentation is over.

Attend the Lakewood Piners Toastmasters’ workshop to learn the skills and techniques to overcome those fears, get the “butterflies to fly in formation” and help you develop your professional communication skills. You’ll learn practical techniques to make you look more confident and credible and gain control of the image you want to project.

The workshop will be held April 4th from 7 to 8:30 p.m.at the Jackson Township Library, 2 Jackson Drive, Jackson. Admission is free. For further information about the program contact by email dw4422@aol.com. You can find out more about the Lakewood Piners Toastmasters at http://lakewoodpiners6070.toastmastersclubs.org/.
