Donate gently worn shoes and/or cash donations to Soles4Souls. This shoe charity has a goal of giving away 11 million pairs of shoes in 2011 to people living in extreme poverty and those recovering from natural disasters.
Although the Central Jersey Parrot Head Club's monthly meeting is August 9, they will collect the donations from August 2 through August 23.
