Farm Market Vouchers Available For Brick Seniors In Need

Those who are 60 and over and meet income guidelines can receive vouchers for free produce.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township Senior Services is distributing vouchers to low-income residents who are 60 or older for use at select vendors at the Brick Farmers Market.

The Senior Farmer Market Nutrition Program "promotes nutritional health among New Jersey's older residents by providing them with locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs," supplementing their diets.

Seniors 60 or older who meet the following annual gross income guidelines are eligible:

  • Family Size: 1 - $26,973
  • Family Size: 2 - $36,482
  • Family Size: 3 - $45,991

The vouchers will be distributed at the Brick Senior Services Activity Center, 373 Adamston Road, on Monday, July 10 from 9:30 a.m. to noon, and on Thursday, July 20 from 10:45 a.m. until 1 p.m. Vouchers can also be picked up Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-noon and 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Senior Services Office, 270 Chambers Bridge Road – Unit 12. Proof of address and income verification are required.

The vendors at the Brick Farmers Market that accept the vouchers are Kauffman Farms and Farmer Al's.
