Fire Damages Home In Baywood Section Of Brick

Breaking: The fire broke out about 8:30 p.m., according to a report; multiple fire companies fought the fire.

BRICK, NJ — A home in the Baywood section of Brick Township suffered significant damage Saturday night in a fire, according to radio transmissions.

Jersey Shore Hurricane News reported the fire on Cartagena Drive happened about 8:30 p.m., and that multiple fire companies had responded.

As of 9:40 p.m. the fire was deemed under control, according to radio transmissions. Firefighters remained on the scene checking for hot spots and any further extension of the fire.

In addition to Brick's fire companies — Pioneer Hose, Breton Woods, Laurelton and Herbertsville — several fire companies, including firefighters from Point Pleasant, Mantoloking and Toms River, responded to provide support.
