Fire Damages Home Near Mantoloking Road In Brick: Police

BRICK, NJ — A fire damaged a house off Adamston Road Tuesday afternoon in Brick, but there were no injuries reported, police said.

Brick Lt. Joe Forrester said police officers who responded to the fire saw black smoke coming from the house on Bara Street, a dead end street that sits between Adamston and Mantoloking roads.

The house was not occupied at the time of the fire, he said.

In addition to firefighters from the Breton Woods and Pioneer Hose Company, the Brick Township Bureau of Fire Safety, the Police Department's detective bureau, the Ocean County fire marshal and the Ocean County sheriff's department all responded to the fire.
