Fire Destroys Home In Brick's Herbertsville Section
The house was fully engulfed in flames, and smoke could be seen for several blocks.
BRICK, NJ — Authorities are trying to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a home on Walnut Street in Brick Monday afternoon.
Brick Township police said the fire was reported shortly after 3 p.m. on the 100 block of Walnut Street, between 21st and 21nd avenues in the Herbertsville section of town.
There was no information immediately available on whether anyone was home at the time of the fire, or whether there were any injuries.

Smoke from the fire could be seen rising well above the trees in drone video posted to the Facebook group Growin' Up in Brick, NJ (60's 70's 80's and 90's), and a photo posted there showed the home completely engulfed in flames. Residents said there was a full array of emergency personnel at the scene for more than 2½ hours.
Police said the fire had been extinguished as of 5:20 p.m. but emergency personnel remained on the scene monitoring the situation.
