The Brick Township High School Class of 1989 graduate and quarterback for the Dragons' football team is coming back to Brick High School on Friday, May 20, with the trainers and trainees from the NBC TV show "STRONG." The event is being held in conjunction with Brick's Relay For Life event.

Durkin, a trainer and owner of FitnessQuest 10 in San Diego, has been one of the trainers on "STRONG," which began its inaugural season in April. It pits teams of trainers, working with trainees, to improve their strength and fitness.

"We will do a FREE 1-hour workout on the football field with as many people from the Shore and surrounding NJ/NY/CT or Eastern seaboard states as possible & then there will be photos/autographs/Q&A, etc. immediately following with all STRONG cast members," Durkin said on Facebook. "The workout is open to ALL ages, levels, shapes, and sizes--it is going to be epic!!!"

Relay for Life kicks off at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 20, and runs through Saturday afternoon.

The workout event with Durkin and the cast of STRONG is scheduled for 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday.

"Come one, come all and be ready to be inspired by the ENTIRE cast of #STRONG and all the inspired-souls that will attend the event. Can't wait to come "home" baby!!!" Durkin said.
