Fundraising for a Warrior
Come for Pasta and PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) to help support and celebrate a lifetime Brick Township fighting a horrible disease.

Lisa Pirrello Nicol is one of the bravest and toughest women you will know. She has shown great strength and a never ending supply of PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) throughout her battle with Cancer and Von
Hippel Disease.
Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease is an inherited disorder causing multiple tumors, both benign and malignant, in the central nervous system (CNS) and viscera. The most common tumors are retinal and renal cell carcinoma (RCC), renal cysts and phaeochromocytoma.[1, 2]
Tumors also arise in the pancreas, epididymis or broad ligament of the uterus, and the inner ear (endolymphatic sac). The age at which the tumors
present ranges from early childhood to the seventh decade of life.
Early diagnosis, screening of family members and lifelong surveillance of VHL patients for tumors is recommended.

For several years, Lisa has had to deal with dialysis, the removal of her kidney, then having her second kidney removed, of course leading to a kidney transplant (donated by her sister in law), multiple tumors in
multiple organs (liver, pancreas to name a few) either removed b surgery or treated with radiation and/or chemotherapy. She has had three tumors removed from her brain and currently has cancer in her eye.
She should be miserable. She should be angry. She should be ready, should have been ready a long time ago… to give up! But she hasn’t… she doesn’t… she won’t.

As her journey continues, many of her friends have decided to celebrate all that Lisa has conquered so far, show our unending support and share words of encouragement for the woman who has been an
