3-Year-Old Victim, Driver Identified In Fatal Lakewood Truck-Bike Crash
Authorities are continuing to investigate the fatal crash that happened Thursday afternoon.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — Authorities are continuing to investigate an accident that killed a 3-year-old Lakewood girl last week.
Hadassah Krohn, 3, was on her bicycle when she was hit by a 2007 Ford F550 truck driven by Chayin Goodman, 47, of Lakewood, said Al Della Fave, spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, in a statement releasing the identities Monday morning.
Police were called to 7th Street in Lakewood for about 12:30 p.m. on Thursday for a report of pedestrian struck and found Hadassah Krohn next to her bicycle, Della Fave said. She was pronounced dead at the scene by arriving paramedics, he said.

The preliminary investigation found Goodman was driving east on 7th Street when the girl rode out of her driveway directly into Goodman's path without warning, Della Fave said. Goodman gave consent to search his cell phone and the search turned up negative, Della Fave said. Goodman was taken to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus where he provided consent for a blood sample, he said
The investigation is being conducted by the Lakewood Police Department, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Major Crime Fatal Accident Investigation Unit, and the Ocean County Sheriff's Office CSI Unit.
