Herbertsville Road Closed Due To Downed Wires: Brick Police
The downed lines are in the same area as a power outage affecting more than 1,600 homes and businesses.
BRICK, NJ — Downed power lines have forced the closure of Herbertsville Road between Schoolhouse Road and Sally Ike Road on Wednesday evening, police said.
Jersey Central Power & Light is reporting a power outage affecting more 1,600 homes and businesses in the area.
The company's outage website predicts service will be restored by 8 p.m.

Powerful thunderstorms have caused outages in a number of Ocean County towns Wednesday, with more than 22,000 affected at the peak of the outages. Most people had their service restored by 5:20 p.m.
