Heroin, Adderall, Suboxone Seized From 2 Brick Homes: Police

Two women are facing drug charges after an investigation prompted by residents' complaints about activities at the two homes.

BRICK, NJ — Two women are facing drug distribution charges after heroin and other drugs were seized during searches of two Brick homes last week, Brick Township police said Monday.

Rachel O’Brien, 36, and Janet Lombardo, 36, were arrested Oct. 7 following the investigation by the Brick Township Street Crimes Unit, Capt. Keith Reinhard said.

Police investigated after receiving complaints from several residents who suspected drug sales were being conducted out of two homes, and on Oct. 7 executed search warrants at a home on Greenville Drive and one on 3rd Street in the Laurelton Mobile Home Park, along with a vehicle, Reinhard said.

Authorities seized about 200 wax folds of heroin packaged for resale, assorted CDS paraphernalia, hypodermic syringes, and unspecified quantities of suboxone and Adderall, he said.

O’Brien was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and distribution of heroin, and taken to the Ocean County Jail, while Lombardo was charged with possession of heroin, possession of Adderall, possession of suboxone, possession of CDS paraphernalia and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute and released with a summons, Reinhard said.

"Chief (Joseph) Riccio would like to thank the concerned citizens who stepped forward and assisted our officers in getting these dangerous drugs off the street," Reinhard said. "We enjoy a great working relationship with our community and encourage anyone who suspects criminal activity to contact our department."

The Street Crimes Unit was assisted by the Brick Township patrol bureau, K-9 unit and detective bureau in the investigation.
