Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony Sunday In Brick

The event honors the more than 6 million Jews who were killed by the Nazis during the Holocaust.

BRICK, NJ — Temple Beth Or and Living Faith Bible Church are cosponsoring a Holocaust Memorial ceremony on Sunday, May 5.

The event aims to commemorate and honor the memories of those who were killed during the Holocaust; 6 million Jews were tortured, starved, and slain in Germany and Poland before and during World War II.

The Holocaust Memorial Commemoration annually is timed to the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in Poland in 1943, according to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum website.

Sunday's ceremony is being cosponsored by Living Faith Bible Church and Temple Beth Or in an effort to promote understanding among different faiths, Brick Township officials said.

The event, titled "Telling the Story," begins at 4 p.m. at Temple Beth Or. Light refreshments will be served.

Temple Beth Or is just off Route 70, on the corner of Van Zile Road and Hendrickson Boulevard.
