Brick Homicide Remains Under Investigation

Residents in the neighborhood have lots of questions about what they were hearing Saturday evening.

BRICK, NJ — An homicide in Brick that happened Saturday evening remained under investigation, the Ocean County prosecutor's office confirmed Sunday.

Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer confirmed Brick police, the prosecutor's Major Crimes Unit, and the Ocean County Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident that happened on Acorn Drive.

Residents of the Cedar Bridge Manor development told Patch authorities had been at a home since Saturday evening. Several residents reported hearing what they believed to be gunshots, but Billhimer said the homicide did not involve a shooting. He did not release details about the homicide or the victim on Sunday.

Authorities blocked off Acorn Drive and the road remained blocked into Sunday afternoon.
