The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office has charged a Jackson Township police officer with two counts of hindering apprehension in the investigation of the murder of a man at a Jackson restaurant on April 9, Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato said
Eric Prosniewski, 45, Bluebell Drive, Jackson is accused of giving detectives from the Prosecutor’s Office “false, deceptive and misleading” information in connection with the murder of Peyman Sanandaji. Prosniewski is alleged to have had a friendship with Daniele Romeodisantillo, one of two men charged with the murder, he said.

“At this time, the charges against Prosniewski appear to stem from his off-duty activities and are not believed to be related to his position as a police officer,” Coronato said.
