LA Fitness Opening In Brick Plaza Right After Christmas

BRICK, NJ — The renovations are complete. The exercise cycles are in place. And the pool is awaiting swimmers.

Now it's just a matter of opening the doors. And the doors at LA Fitness are set to open next week in Brick.

The fitness center is set to open on Thursday, Dec. 27. There are a variety of options and activities, including a group fitness room, a spin studio, a three-lane lap pool and jacuzzi, saunas in the men's and women's locker rooms, and full-size basketball courts.

There is 26,000 pounds of free weights and tons of cardio equipment, and there's a kids club to provide babysitting while parents are working out.

"All the cardio equipment has the lifetime connect app capability which tracks all your workouts you can even replay walking or running jogging from a route you’ve done outside," general manager Michael Eisenberg said.

The LA Fitness replaced the Sports Authority after the chain shut down the store. The renovations removed 9,000 square feet of space to provide more parking.
