Lakewood Man Charged With Lewd Act In Brick Parking Lot: Police
A citizen reported the man committing the act and police tracked him down after he left the scene.

BRICK, NJ — A Lakewood man has been charged with committing a lewd act in a car at the township's Civic Plaza, Brick Township police said Monday.
Aaron S. Gut, 26, of 8th Street, Lakewood, was charged Wednesday, Nov. 9, Lt. Vincent Pacitti said.
Police were called about 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 9 by a citizen who reported a person committing a lewd act in a motor vehicle at Civil Plaza, located at 270 Chambersbridge Road, Pacitti said. Police did not provide details on what the lewd act entailed.

Patrolman James Albanese and Patrolman Evan Mancini responded and upon arrival were told the vehicle had left the area and was last seen traveling north on Chambersbridge Road, Pacitti said.
The complainant was able to provide officers with the vehicle's license plate number, and subsequent investigation on scene led to the identification of the subject as Gut, he said.

Detectives Thomas Cooney and Joseph Leskowski took over the investigation and ultimately charged Gut with lewdness, Pacitti said.
A warrant was issued by the Brick Township Municipal Court, and bail was set at $1,000 with no 10 percent option, he said. Gut was arrested and processed at Brick Police Headquarters. Gut was released after posting bail, with a pending court date, he said.
