Laurelton Fire Opens New Firehouse

BRICK, NJ — The Laurelton Fire Company moved into a new firehouse, the department announced in a Saturday Facebook post.

The new Midstreams station replaces a smaller station once on the site. The new station houses an engine and 20 firefighters, all of whom live nearby, according to the post. It was designed to blend into the neighborhood architecturally, and improve functionality for firefighters.

LFC built the station without having to raise taxes, the department said.

The Facebook post received 300 likes, and 50 comments, with many residents remarking on the building’s attractiveness.
