At Least 40 Car Burglaries In Brick Since Early December: Police
The frigid weather has not deterred the burglaries, have been primarily from unlocked vehicles, Brick police said.

BRICK, NJ — If you thought the frigid overnight temperatures of the last few weeks would be enough to deter thieves, think again.
Brick Township police say they are receiving a high number of reports of vehicle burglaries in the area of Lanes Mill Road, Sally Ike Road and the nearby "state" streets.
"We have had at least 40 reported car burglaries in that area since the beginning of December," Sgt. Neal Pedersen said. Most of the vehicles were unlocked but if valuables were visible, the thieves were smashing windows to steal wat they saw, he said.
