UPDATE: Winter Weather, Wind Advisories In Effect As Snow Falls In Brick
All Monday afterschool activities canceled by Brick schools

UPDATE, 3 p.m.: The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for much of Ocean County. That is in addition to a wind advisory, and both are in effect until midnight.
Brick Township School officials announced the cancellation of all afterschool and evening programs in the district as a result of the weather.
Snow began falling in much of the county after 2 p.m., but the advisory still predicts little accumulation. Instead the bigger concern is that the snow, combined with rain that fell earlier, will have a significant likelihood of flash freezing, creating hazardous travel conditions on roads.

Untreated walkways, parking lots and sidewalks will pose a danger as well.
The wind advisory is predicting northwest winds of 20 to 25 mph with gusts 45 mph, and the wind chill will be around zero.
