Local Animal Rescues Highlighted At Mobile Pet Adoption Event Sunday
Petco in Toms River is hosting the local event, part of North Shore Animal League's Tour For Life.
If you're considering adopting an animal, take a ride to Petco in Toms River on Sunday for the 2016 Tour For Life.
The event, run in cooperation with North Shore Animal League and Puppy Love Pet Rescue, is highlighting animals from local shelters and rescues -- Cane Corso Rescue, Volunteer Auxiliary for Animal shelters, Jersey Shore Animal Shelter, NJSPCA, Hanlon's K9 training, Calling All Cats rescue, and Chelsea's Hope Boxer Rescue -- to help find homes for the animals.
The event at Petco, 1331 Hooper Ave., Toms River, runs from noon to 4 p.m. and also will include Bark Lane, NJ101.5 traffic reporter Christina Stoffo selling Etsy products, Swarovski crystal jewelry, and giveaways from Purina, which is the sponsor of the mobile pet adoption tour.

The tour is traveling to 32 states to help generate awareness of pet rescues and shelters and encourage people to adopt animals rather than buying them.
