Local Women Support Advancements in Healthcare

Through the Guild of Ocean Medical Center’s amazing fundraising efforts, Hackensack Meridian Health Ocean Medical Center purchased a state-of-the art orthopedic fracture table for Ocean Medical Center. With The Hana® table now installed, Ocean’s orthopedic surgeons can perform minimally invasive anterior hip replacements with one single and small incision, causing less pain and tissue trauma than conventional means.

“The new piece of equipment makes a huge difference in the way we are able to perform surgery, helping many of our hip replacement patients return to their active and healthy lifestyles much faster. We are extremely fortunate to have the Guild’s support. Through the fundraising events they work so hard to host, and other activities, such as last year’s Super Raffle, the dedicated group is an inspiration to us all, and we are extremely grateful,” shared Joseph Bogdan, M.D., orthopedic surgeon at Ocean Medical Center, and Foundation trustee.

The Guild of Ocean Medical Center will host their Annual Fashion Show on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Jack Baker’s Lobster Shanty in Point Pleasant Beach. All members of the local community are invited to attend. The event will feature a four course dinner, gift auction and high-end fashion show that showcases local boutiques. All proceeds from the event will continue to support Ocean Medical Center.

Since it was founded in 1953, Guild of Ocean Medical Center has made generous contributions to support excellence in health care on a local level. The group provided funding for the recent emergency department expansion, endoscopy equipment, cancer services, surgical needs, and many more initiatives that help Ocean Medical Center provide the best health care possible, close to home.

Tickets for the Fashion Show are available for $60 per person. 50/50 raffle tickets and sponsorship opportunities are also available.
