Man Charged With Stealing $850 In Items From Brick Walmart
Thomas Bilotti, 48, also is accused of assaulting a security guard as he tried to leave store.

A Staten Island man has been charged with walking out of a Brick Township store with nearly $850 worth of merchandise without paying for it, then assaulting a security officer, according to police.
Thomas Bilotti, 48, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with second-degree robbery after tried to walk out of the WalMart on Route 88 with a flat panel TV and assorted merchandise in his shopping cart, Brick Township Police Sgt. Neal Pedersen said. The merchandise was valued at $848.26.
Bilotti then assaulted the security officer who tried to stop him on the way out of the store, Pedersen said.

Patrolman Charles Kelly located Bilotti and arrested him.
Bilotti is being held in the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, in lieu of $150,000 bail, no 10 percent, set by Superior Court Judge Rochelle Gizinski.
