Man Charged with Air Conditioner Metal Theft
Metal was reportedly removed from units at Kennedy Mall Shopping Plaza.

A 28-year-old Brick man has been arrested and charged with allegedly receiving stolen property after police said he attempted to steal metal off exterior air condition units at the Kennedy Mall Shopping Plaza.
Jason McNab, a resident of the Cedarbridge Manor section of Brick Township, was arrested and charged after being interviewed by Detective Daniel Waleski at Brick police headquarters.
Police interviewed McNab after being called Nov. 4, 2013 around 9 a.m. to the plaza for a report of a subject who was attempting to steal the aluminum and other metal components of the exterior air condition units.

During the previous weekend, five external air condition units had been dismantled behind the plaza.
On scene officers were provided with the license plate of the vehicle that had previously left the scene, and with this information, officers were able to locate McNab and interview him. Based on the information received during this interview, McNab was then charged with receiving stolen property by Patrolman Jeffrey Person.

McNab was processed and released on a criminal summons with a pending court date.
