Suspect At-Large In Attempted Luring Of 13-Year-Old In NJ
A 13-year-old girl filmed the man and vehicle, then ran to a nearby home as he tried to get her to get in, police said.

JACKSON, NJ — Jackson Township police are searching for a man who tried to convince a 13-year-old girl to get into his GMC Yukon last week.
Police said the incident happened shortly before 12:30 p.m. Oct. 30 on Pitney Lane near Danielle Court, which is off South Cooks Bridge Road near Hope Chapel Road.
The man, who was described as a Hispanic man in his 40s with short brown hair and wearing a dark T-shirt, was driving a white GMC Yukon, model year 2007-2014, with a New Jersey license plate that appears to be VLP61C. Jackson Capt. Steve Laskiewicz said the plate number "comes back not on file. Numerous registration combinations were also negative."

The Yukon also has what appears to be black-painted 6-spoke wheels and also appears to be missing its rear window wiper, he said.
The girl told police she was walking on Pitney Lane when the driver, who was alone in the vehicle, said something to her, and then slowed down, Laskiewicz said. The girl then used her cell phone to video record the Yukon, which began to back up toward her.

He then asked the girl, "Are you cold? I can give you a ride. Get in my car," she told police. She ran to the nearest home on Danielle Court, and the man drove off toward East Veterans Highway, Laskiewicz said.
Anyone who has seen the vehicle or who has information is asked to contact Detective Dominic Manion at 732-833-3016 or Jackson Police Dispatch at 732-928-1111.
