Man Molested 3 Girls Over 11-Year Period: Indictment
The sexual assaults on the three began when one girl was 3 and happened in multiple towns, including Brick and Toms River.

FREEHOLD, NJ — A Staten Island man has been indicted on sexual molestation charges involving three girls he had the duty to care for, dating back to 2003 when one of the girls was 3 years old.
Armondo Lopez, 44, of Gaynor Street, Staten Island, was indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury on two counts each of sexual assault, and of endangering the welfare of a child by engaging in sexual conduct with a child, and one count of aggravated criminal sexual contact with one of the girls, according to the indictment.
Lopez was arrested April 20 in Neptune and charged with assaulting all three girls in connection with a Jan. 18, 2013 incident, where he is accused of touching all of them on their breasts and genitals, according to the criminal complaint.

The ensuing investigation revealed the extent of the assaults; according to the indictment, the assaults on the oldest girl date back to 2003. Lopez was responsible for caring for the three girls, according to the indictment.
The assaults on the first girl, who was 9 years old at the time, took place between June 25, 2013, and Oct. 31, 2013, in Neptune, according to the indictment.

The assaults on the second girl, who was 10 at the time, took place between Jan. 1, 2009 and Sept. 1, 2014, and occurred in Neptune, Brick Township and Toms River, according to the indictment.
The third girl was assaulted beginning in June 2003 and continuing until Sept. 1, 2014, with those assaults occurring in Neptune, Long Branch, Ocean Township, Brick and Toms River, according to the indictment. The aggravated criminal sexual contact charge related to this third child, according to the indictment. Lopez was serving as a resource family parent, a guardian or stood in loco parentis within the household for the child, according to the indictment.
Lopez is being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institute, Freehold Township, in lieu of $400,000 bail, according to jail records.
