Man Pleads Guilty To Sexually Assaulting Girl, 9

The incidents occurred over a five-month period, prosecutor says.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — An Ocean County man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said Thursday morning.

Agustin Salvidar-Delvalle, 27, of Lakewood entered a guilty plea before Superior Court Judge James M. Blaney to one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, said Al Della Fave, spokesman for the prosecutor's office. Salvidar-Delvalle will be sentenced after an Avenal evaluation.

The guilty plea stems from an investigation by Special Victims Unit Detective Stephanie Bayha and Lakewood Police Detective Nate Reyes, with assistance from OC Sheriff's Department CSI Det. Michael O'Hearn, into incidents that occurred in Lakewood From August to December 2015; the girl was 9.

Salvidar-Delvalle was arrested Feb. 16, Della Fave said.

The case is being prosecuted by Senior Assistant Prosecutor Terry Ann Linardakis.
