Man Sought After 100-MPH Chase In Jackson
Police said the man has an outstanding warrant from Ocean County and took off when an officer tried to pull him over.

JACKSON, NJ — Authorities are searching for a man who led police on a 100-mph chase over three miles through Jackson following an argument at an apartment complex on Saturday afternoon.
Larry Crippen, 20, who has addresses in Jackson and Lakewood, is accused of being the driver of a 2010 Toyota that was seen leaving the parking lot of the Willow Point apartment complex on East Commodore Boulevard shortly after 12:20 p.m., Jackson Capt. Steven Laskiewicz said. Crippen was wanted on an outstanding Ocean County warrant, he said.
Police were called to the complex for a report of a disturbance involving a man and a woman, but enroute learned the man had left in the Toyota. A short time later Police Officer Matt Roth found the car on South Cooks Bridge Road and after confirming it was the involved vehicle, tried to pull it over.

The driver instead sped up, reaching speeds of 100 mph and passing other vehicles on the road over a double yellow line, as Roth followed. The Toyota turned onto New Central Avenue and crossed Hope Chapel Road, then continued into Lakewood as the pursuit was terminated, Laskiewicz said.
Crippen is charged with second-degree eluding, hindering apprehension, and unlawful taking of means of conveyance, on a complaint warrant. He also is charged with speeding, driving while suspended, reckless driving and multiple other traffic offenses, Laskiewicz said.
